Captcha's Suck.
If you have a blog with captcha's, I'll only comment if I REALLY want to. But I'll hate you a little inside for making me squint.
So yeah. Make the captcha's go away. You'll thank me for it. Actually, your blog readers will thank me for it.
(I haven't had mine on in at least a year and have never gotten a spam comment. so there.)
(I don't know this blogger but they have a "how to" make them go away.)
(these are the things that annoy me while I'm in my TWW)

Amen! I try once and if I can't comment then I can't comment. Those things are impossible to read!

ReplyDeleteI get spam comments, but captchas never did keep them away. I find that requiring approval for posts over 3 days old was the most helpful :)
ReplyDeleteI'm right with you and even posted about this myself a couple of months ago. I think it even got a few people to stop using them. Unfortunately, there are still a couple of blogs that I really like to follow and comment on that continue to use them. :(
ReplyDeleteWhat I found even more...ridiculous(?), was captcha AND needing approval. I think if you are really worried about spam or not nice comments, approval first alone would be enough. Save our eye-sight! But then, that is just me.
I think I've had maybe two spam posts and I left them because I found them funny, not offensive. I just ignore them though. haha
Here Here! I *think* I got rid of mine ages ago (thanks to JustHeather and Miss C) (if they're still on there, let me know!!!). They are annoying and they keep me from posting on blogs regularly.

I would get spam comments ALL THE TIME ... I think I turned mine on but after doing ICLW - I think I'm just ready to turn them OFF... lol..
