Warm Fuzzy

Things that I loved about today:

1. Fun times at work! The new job is really fun, and I'm absolutely loving learning a new skill-set. It's a lot of the same, but with a new spin. Having a new challenge is refreshing. I missed it.

2. Fun small walk with the Pooper, our neurotic dog. She's liking the temp housing we're at and the pond across the street.... lots of jackrabbits to chase!

3. Coffee date with great people. There have been more social events in the week we've been here than we ever had in a week's time back in our old city. For that reason alone, I know we made the right call moving up here, despite some of the drawbacks.

4. Making the first step towards being an aquatic Master. One hour swim class. For my lame-o out of shape butt. Man, am I sore and tired ALREADY. I will sleep fantastically tonight... for the first time this week.

5. Knowing I will sleep FANTASTICALLY tonight.

Pardon the Interruption!

Dr Boy and I are officially moving 400 miles away.... in two days! We are sooooo very lucky to have a crew of people heading to our townhouse RIGHT NOW to pack everything up, then the truck gets loaded tomorrow, then we clean, patch up the paint job, and head out on Saturday!

I can't believe that it's already time to leave our house. I'm sure I'll make a super sappy post later on but for now, I've got to get stuff ready for the movers!

See 'yall soon!

Yo Colorado Wheeeeeee!!!!

So... One of my friends, J, whom I met in grad school school, turned thirty yesterday. J lives in Austin, way too far from our current southwest abode, so we all decided to fly out to Colorado to celebrate her dirty thirty in style- skiing at Breckinridge.

Unfortunately, aunt flo decided to make an impromptu visit yesterday... Hours before our flight. This would be on cycle day 35, for those of you counting.... A week before it's expected arrival date. I always prepare for those things, so that was ok.... Except I'm more bloated than I've ever been before and my ski pants barely fit. Thank god there's no scale here, 'cause I feel like a beached whale.

Worse off, I've never been this.... Ummmm.... Heavy in a cycle before.... You know what I mean. Like, ummmm.... Nervous you're not taking care of things often enough? Yeah, that's pretty much what I want to be dealing with my first time skiing.

So have a fantabulous time this weekend.... And think happy cycle thoughts for me. God knows I need them :)

The day I was too chicken-shite to pee on a stick.

That would be today, sports fans.

14 DPO today.

Might I be preggo? Yeah.

Will the world find out today? No.

My boobs don't hurt very much any more, so it's nice that that phase is over. I'm on cycle day 34, if anyone's counting. I am. But only loosely, since my cycle seems to have taken on a 47 day life of its own. That's approximately the length of time a squirrel gestates, for those of you that were wondering. Which of course, is all of you.

Maybe my acupuncturist will talk me into it tomorrow.

edited to add: Pissed at Dr Boy. Did he ask me once today if I POAS? No. Did he realize we did like bunnies two weeks ago? Does he know how all of this makes me feel? I wish he expressed more often that he was invested in the process.
